Alva bib shorts are knitted top down on circular needles. First, a ribbed edge with two buttonholes is made before the structure begins. You also make shortened rows to make the pants higher at the back. You knit a gusset before finishing the legs separately. Finally, you pick up stitches at the back and knit two suspenders that cross at the back. The suspenders are attached to the front piece with buttons.
