Knitting pattern for a child's dress.
A timeless, festive dress without sleeves. Simple in its expression, but with that little extra in the form of sequins and a small slit at the side. It works just as well as a Christmas dress or a summer dress, depending on the color and how it is styled.
The Elvi dress junior is knitted from the top down. First, two front pieces are knitted and joined into one, then knitted to the desired length with increases towards the sleeves. Then stitches are picked up at the shoulders and two short back pieces are knitted and joined into one. The front and back are joined under the sleeves, and you then knit in the round in stockinette stitch over all stitches, with increases to shape the skirt. The dress is finished with a small slit on both sides, a short rib, and an Italian bind-off. Stitches are picked up around the armhole openings and the neckline, and a few rounds are worked in rib before binding off with an Italian bind-off.
