Knitted cardigan pattern.
The tie cardigan is knitted from the top down in stocking stitch. First, the upper back is knitted. Stitches are picked up on the shoulders and the right and left front pieces are knitted, with increases to shape the neck. The piece is joined under the sleeves and the body is then knitted back and forth. The body is finished with a wide rib and Italian bind off. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round with decreases. The sleeves are also finished with a wide rib. Stitches for the neck rib are picked up along the neckline. The ties are knitted in garter stitch over stitches picked up at the edge of the front pieces.
