Leah Cardigan Junior

Knitting pattern for a cardigan.

The Leah Cardigan Junior is a V-neck cardigan with leaf-patterned sleeves. An addition to the Leah collection in children's sizes. It's suitable to wear open, closed, with jeans, or over a dress. Just as you prefer.

The Leah Cardigan Junior is knitted top-down with raglan increases. The cardigan is knitted back and forth on a circular needle. The front and back are knitted in stockinette stitch, while the sleeves feature a beautiful leaf pattern. The work is divided for the sleeves and body, and each is completed separately. The body finishes with a wide ribbing and an Italian bind-off. The sleeves are knitted in the round on a circular needle in a textured pattern and also finish with ribbing and an Italian bind-off. The button bands are knitted last by picking up stitches, starting on the right front, all the way around the neck, and down the left front. Then, double knitting with buttonholes is worked over these stitches.

Gauge: 21 sts/10 cm in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles.
