May Skirt

The perfect skirt for all the parties of the year. The skirt can be worn on its own, but is also great when combined with the Maj Top, making it a dress. It is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. The skirt is first worked in the round, then worked back and forth when the slit is to be formed at the back of the piece.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL
Gauge: 26x37 stitches stockinette stitch on 10x10 cm, on 3 mm needles
Needle suggestions: Circular needle 2.5 mm, (60 cm or 80 cm for the larger sizes) and circular needle 3 mm (60 cm or 80 cm)
Yarn: 300 (300) 350 (400) 450 grams Lille Lerke from Dale yarn (50 g – 142 m).
Yarn alternatives: Sandnes Mandarin Petit, Filcolana Merci, Schachenmayr Catania NOTE! The amount of yarn and the knitting tension may vary slightly when changing yarn!
Accessories: Elastic waist, approx. 3 cm wide
Waist: Approx. 60 (64) 70 (78) 89 cm measured at the waist approx. 85 (91) 97 (106) 111 cm, measured at the widest point
NOTE: Since cotton yarn has a tendency to expand with use, the skirt will expand. The above measurements will therefore be slightly larger after use. The skirt has a negative range of motion, the above measurements are smaller than the measurement you get when measuring yourself.
