Valdine Sweater

The Valdine sweater is knitted in two threads, one of each quality. It is knitted from the top down with increases forward and backward from the shoulders. To shape the neckline, shortened rows are made, using German short rows. When the front and back pieces have the number of stitches they should have, the stitches of the back piece are allowed to rest while you knit back and forth over the stitches of the front piece. Then the front piece is allowed to rest while you knit back and forth over the stitches of the back piece. When they have reached their length, the work is joined under the sleeves and the sweater is now knitted in the round to shape the body. The body is finished with rib knitting.
Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round on circular needles, again using German short rows to get a better fit on the sleeves. The sleeves are balloon-shaped and finished with rib knitting.

Knitting suggestions: Circular needles 4 mm and 5 mm 60/80 cm. Circular needles 5 mm 40 cm. Double pointed needles 4 mm for sleeve elastic if magic loop is not used.
